Cheri started running 5Ks in 2007 at 250 pounds and has fallen in love with how great running makes her feel. Here are the ones she has done so far, and look at the improvement from this first time to her latest.

Bat Run

My very first 5K next to the colorado river in downtown Austin with bats twittering in the tree tops:

Margarita Run

The next month I was at it again running through the city streets on a sultry summer night

 

Arts Run

Then there was the arts run supporting the theater where everyone was supposed to run in costume? but I was the only one.

Skirt Chaser Run

Run in a skirt and be chased by guys? Us gals had a three minute head start on the guys. My husband tried to catch me!

Tree Light Run

One should not stop and look at the lights when there are close to 7000 runners all around one.

Resolution Run 2008

This race was relaxing, and I felt like the three miles were no longer so difficult.
