Cheri is starting at 2 hours of exercise per day. This will increase as the program progresses. We do not allow starvation at RFBC. Instead we use a combination of food and exercise to achieve fast weight loss.
Cheri loves to run, and has the 5K history to back her up, but for this program running is on hold. The reason for this is that when obese women take on athletic programs they tend to focus on the increase in athleticism and sacrifice the diet for it. Without fail, women who want to race or do heavy strength training worry they are not getting enough protein and fat in their diet and then decide that becoming an athlete is more important than dieting. Cheri has found herself in this situation as well, so to make sure the focus is on the weight loss and that the exercise is always done, her primary exercise will be walking. If she want to run on top of 2 hours of walking per day, that is fine, but walking and dieting are her main focus.
As she adds more exercise, Cheri may include aerobic exercise such as Tae Bo. |
