Drill Sergeant Carlene
Fast Weight Loss Coach to the Obese

You can learn much more about me by visiting www.IBeatObeisty.com, there you will find my fast weight loss journal and my passion for using raw food and exercise as a means of fast weight loss instead of weight loss surgery. You will also read why I chose raw foods as the diet for me to beat obesity.
I have written my first e-workbook, Fat Brain Lies, as a means to help obese men and women tackle the reality of their hesitancy to lose the weight once and for all, and am now offering support for all obese men and women regardless of their diet. Email me for more information.
After losing 136 pounds in 9 months, other women wanting the same results begged me to open up a fast weight loss support system to help them beat obesity as well. Since December of 2005, I have been doing just that. I'll admit it hasn't been easy, finding the right diet and support program for the obese. Figuring out the level of support required, and learning how to keep obese women motivated was full of a lot of trial and error, not to mention frustration. There were times I was ready to give it up and just move on with my own life, but there was always that one person who was almost there, that one person who if I just stuck it out a few more months would reach her goal, that one person who needed me as much as I needed raw foods. You can see some of those women on our original Before and After page and on our Finisher's Page.
One of the things that everyone tried to talk me into when I first started Raw FoodBoot Camp, was to be sympathetic to the members, to coddle, and offer pats on the back even when women purposely failed. I soon learned I had no stomach for that. In my book, if you want something, you go get it. If you don't want to do that, then find someone else to offer you false praise.
If you come to Raw Food Boot Camp and you sign up for support from me, expect to get it whether you are in the mood to hear it or not. If you don't want to work towards your own success, then I don't expect you to waste my time. You can't pay me enough to support someone who won't work to help herself. I am not a therapist, I am not a medical professional. I am a woman who insists that you can have what I have, but you have to be willing to work as hard for it as I do. I understand people have bad days, I get that, but I don't get giving up. The rule at camp is you can fall, but you will only fail if you refuse to get back up.
On the flip side of all that toughness, trust me when I say: I understand where you are coming from. I know how deep rooted our food addictions are and how no one can change a life long eating habit overnight. I know the fears associated with losing weight, the struggles to get the support needed from family and friends, and the constant desire to just be normal and get to eat like everyone else.
These past few years I have heard it all, and learned that structure and accountability are the top reasons members join RFBC. They want someone to be tough on them, to hold them to high expectations, and to call them on their screw ups. They also want someone who can listen and relate to their lives. I think that is what sets up apart from different weight loss groups and me apart from most weight loss coaches. I know what it is like to not fit in a chair or on a ride at the amusement park, to drive instead of fly because I was afraid I would have to buy two tickets, to even not give blood because it required the nurse to hunt for the oversized cuff. I get it, but I also know that laziness breeds laziness and if we don't get up and move, if we don't take charge of our lives, those of us plagued with obesity will die young with many missed opportunities. But, with all my understanding, with my ability to listen and offer empathy when it is needed, I know that nothing is impossible for those who really want it. Don't be fooled though, I will not gently lift you when you fall, I will grab you by the collar and pull.
I expect from all the members I support that they choose life over food. I don't expect it to be easy, but I expect them to reach for it with all the strength they have.
If you really want to lose the weight, I am willing to fight tooth and nail with you to help you get there. It won't be an easy ride for either of us, but it can be life altering. If you really want this, then I have the patience and the tenacity to help you get it, but only if you are willing to give it your all and not ever use the word try. I am a firm believer in the word do. |
