After a month with RFBC, I was able to do what I was not with over a year with a personal trainer: get more flexibility in my knee. The eating of the 'clean foods' on this program helps to clear out inflammation that had been hindering my flexibility. Thanks Carlene for organinzing sucha great program.

I have had a great 5 1/2 months, Carlene's guidance was absolutely wonderful. I'm not living in my fat brain skin anymore. I know how to eat well and I am taking action daily. I recognize when I want to eat out of non hunger and can make conscious choices. This has been a wonderful success. Carlene states on her site that her goal is to get you to where you can do it on your own. Well, I'm there and I'm soooooo happy. I feel great, I look great and best of all..... The reason I keep coming back for these 4-week programs are two fold. Listening to the audio keeps better eating behaviors at the forefront of my attention for the day. I'm still making these new patterns of eating into habits, and the reminders help. - The second is the sense of accountability. Not so much that anyone is watching, but the expectation is that I will check in and let folk know how it's going. The best thing I've ever done for myself was to find Carlene's website and start Finding Your Perfect Diet followed by all of the Fat Brain Behavior courses. I admit that I have no will power but I do have determination. I was determined that I wasn't going to be fat for the rest of my life. I was determined that I could keep up with my children. I came here looking to loose weight, and the food plan is on the spot. Thanks to it, for the first time, I am loosing weight and I am half way to my goal. It is still very important to me, but more importantly Carlene has helped me experience (not theory, not promises, not plans) real experience of health and happiness. Sounds simple, it is. I checked the site over and toyed with joining, but decided I could do it on my own. I mean I had just run a full marathon two weeks previous (and gained weight doing so) and I could always join later on if needed.
That next week I feasted--on trash. My diet was full of processed food, high sodium, fried food and the like. It was terrible. I was out of control and needed accountability. I joined the next Monday. Worse was that it was a bad time to join. My scheduled life was going to be out of control for a month and I knew it. I joined anyway. In the midst of all the chaos I have lost, and continued to do so.
For me this way of eating is the only way it makes sense. It's natural, healthy and is 100% effective if you follow the plan (small print: results are typical!). I have a ways to go in changing the habits of my mind, but I'm on the journey.

All of the programs I offer emphasis healthy whole foods, walking, and the importance of redefining your relationship with food. The percentage of raw foods in your diet is up to you. But I will tell you up front, the more raw juicy fruits and veggies you eat, the faster you will lose. I don't know why, but after almost 5 years of doing this, raw food has proven itself over and over again. Think of it this way. Calories in/Calories out is the true method of dropping weight. Using lots of juicy fruits and raw veggies just seems to give it a boost. For those like me, it is a huge boost.

If you are willing to work hard for this, I am willing to put you to the test. I am always in drill sergeant mode for those that sign up for this program. It is 100% low fat, low sodium, low sugar raw food. You start with 1 hour of walking each day in your fat burn heart rate zone. By the end of the first month you need to be at 90 minutes of walking a day. I will not pull out my whip if you have a bad day, but I will make you take a hard look at why you fell off your program. It is only when we examine what we do, that we can start to take responsibility for it.

Finding Your Perfect Diet is all about discovering the right diet for you. I will encourage lots of raw fruits and veggies, just because they are so healthy for you, but this diet is one you design, with my guidance, to satisfy your long term needs and goals. In this program you and I will go through your food, find out what small things not normally allowed in diets may in small amounts keep you satisfied enough to continue where you would normally give up. I don't believe in labeling ourselves based on how we eat. Whether it is raw foodist, vegan, vegetarian, or whatever. Instead our goal is to be healthy. Being obese is not healthy, but being stuck in either be perfect or binge isn't healthy either.No diet, no matter how perfect, is any good if you can't sustain it for life.
Everyone starts on this plan at 1800 calories with a max of 30% fat (USRDA) and a max of 2000 mg sodium. You do not have to be raw. I will tell you that the more raw food you eat the better you will feel and the faster you will lose. One of my private clients who started her private coaching doing the Finding Your Perfect Diet, ate bacon! It took her a whole day to eat one apple and only if she could put peanut butter on it. Now she lives bacon free and eats tons of fruit and is losing weight at a nice pace. She tells everyone that she liked the program because she was able to do things on her terms and choose for herself that she wanted cleaner healthier foods, but the she always adds that she believes I was in the back ground orchestrating the whole thing. I'm not saying, but she feels great, loves her new diet, and believes she can do it for life. That is the power of having an open mind and doing things that work right for you.
This is really my favorite program. Although I love how fast you can lose weight on 100% raw and how great it makes you feel. My passion is for everyone who has suffered with obesity learn how to make peace with food and realize there is no need to obesess over it.
