The Raw Food Boot Camp Program

Raw Food Boot Camp is about fast weight loss and is geared toward obese women. Beating obesity and changing food addictions to healthy life choices is the primary focus of camp.

Raw Food is our tool. It is not our obsession. Unlike many raw foodists, as obese women, we have to be careful of over eating even raw foods, and we have to maintain low fat% levels in our daily diet. Exercise is also key. Where yoga does wonders for our thin cousins, for us, it is walking, and a lot of it.

The goal of this program is that not only will you lose the weight fast, but that you will work with the group to change old behaviors and incorporate new ones where eating is concerned. That is our primary focus. You do not have to commit to being 100% raw for the rest of your life, you don't even have to do a 100% raw eating program, but you do have to incorporate raw food into your life, even if only at 50%. Raw food for some reason works faster than the same amount of cooked calories when it comes to fast weight loss.

What you get:

The monthly program

We track our weight monthly, but you are welcome to join any day of the month. From Monday through Friday, Carlene is on-site, 2 to 3 times a day reading Supported Member's logs and responding to their Personal Messages. Weekend are open to member initiated participation threads and live chats.

Access to our Daily Audios

Monday through Friday of each week there is a daily audio that is followed up by a daily participation thread. All members of Raw Food Boot Camp have full access to all the audios and participation threads during their membership. At the beginning of each month, the audios are deleted and new ones are started.

Some months we may work on a specific theme such as breaking the cord between emotions and eating, or we may work on smaller individual habits and problems that the women in the supported groups are experiencing. The audio are more of a go with the flow type of format. I record them each evening after reading through the supported members posts and the previous days participation thread to ensure that each morning there is relevancy to our discussions.

Daily Weight Tracking

Everyone who joins RFBC must track their weight on our weigh in pages. These pages with total losses and losses for the day are made public, but your weight is not, and they are only associated with your login name. Your real name is not shown on public pages.

Supported Members must weigh daily and On Your Own/General Members must weigh every M, W, F.

Share Recipes

We maintain a member submittal raw recipe program. All recipes must conform to our low fat, low GI standards. We do not allow copyrighted recipes in our system.

RFBC Accountability Groups

Whether in a supported group or in the General Membership group, each woman who joins must sign up for an accountability group. In the On Your Own/General Membership section there are ones for those who will be at camp 3+ days a week, and ones for those who will participate less. There is a mandatory 1 day a week participation by all RFBC members.

In the Accountability group you will track your food, exercise, and daily rants and raves about your program. In the General Membership area, your peers will read and respond to how you are doing and help support you to create the best possible eating and exercise program for you. I do this for the women in the supported groups.

RFBC Forum with Live Chat area

We have an active forum where all of our members can meet and talk about their day to day progress on the program. You can meet in the Lounge using a standard forum format, or you can join or initiate a live chat in our live chat area.

The rules of no religion or politics still applies. Rights to the forum can be lost for intolerance, consistent negativity, harassment of other members, the dispensation of medical, psychological, or fitness advice given as anything other than peer opinion, and any other behavior that will take away from a peaceful, supportive communal environment.

The Power Loser Club

Kara hosts a Power Loser Club. This is a special section and additional support for women who are really pushing with the exercise. To join you must be ready to do 1.5 hours of exercise 4 days a week and 2.5 hours of exercise 3 days a week. Most are doing the 2.5 every day.

Supported Members Only

Monday through Friday On-on-one log with Carlene

I check logs two to three times a day. I watch what you are eating, your exercise and your attitude. I am tough and have high expectations. I don't accept words like, "I'll try," or "We'll see." I expect an "I will" attitude from everyone I support. You will be required to use www.fitday.com to keep track of your calories and fat%.

Personal Messaging

As a supported member, you can send me a PM whenever you need some extra push or have something you rather not share on the boards to discuss. I will respond usually on the same day.

Once a Month Half Hour Live Phone Chat with Carlene

This one call is included in your Supported Membership. You do not have to utilize it, but if things get tough and you want that big kick in the butt, I will definitely give it to you over the phone. These once a month phone calls do not roll-over to the next month, so make sure to schedule yours and get an extra dose of support.

Once a Month Conference Call with Carlene

Once a month you will be invited to a conference call with Carlene and other women in the Supported groups. These calls will have a set subject area where you will be expected to come with questions and be ready to answer others questions.

RFBC Requirements:

  • Group Participation
  • Mandatory Weigh Ins
  • Minimum of 1 hour a day of walking
  • You must join an Accountability Group
  • You must post an Avatar (close-up of your face)
  • You must be over 18 years of age
  • You must be ready to lose the weight
  • 3 Full Body Shots

    One of the biggest regrets people have when they lose a lot of weight is not to be able to see the proof of it. These photos are required of women in the supported group, women in the General Membership area can ask for a waiver, but I will fight you on it. If you do not take these photos you will regred it after you have lost all your weight and have no good photos to prove it. These photos should show your front, back, and side views and you need to ask your photographer to make sure the top of your head and your feet are visible.

    For Supported members, the photos show on their public pages with their faces blurred unless you also purchase the privacy option. For General Members I will only post your photos if you agree to it and after you have lost 25 pounds at RFBC. You faces will also be blurred.
