The Holidays are here!

Throughout November and December our focus is on surviving the holidays. Between actual holidays, all those weekend parties, office goodies, and baking grandmas, no wonder most gain 10-15 lbs over the holidays.

At camp, we have found ways to get through the holidays unscathed. Okay, maybe for some, the weight loss slows, but for others, they forge through as if there wasn’t so much as a cinnamon spiced waft in the air.

Then there is the depression some go through over the holidays. Not everyone loves the holidays. So we have plans in place to help get through the dark times as well.

Some suffer Seasonal Affective Disorder. We have methods to lighten that up for everyone.

Most have to deal with family and friends who think our diet is extreme and any diet during the holidays is insane. We have ways to work with them as well. 

The biggest problem everyone has to face during the holidays is themselves! We recognize this and work hard to prevent self- sabotage moments and to remind everyone that it is our right to be healthy, it is our responsibility to take charge of what goes in our mouth and when. We don’t have to apologize to anyone for going after a healthy life even during the holidays.

If your goal for this holiday season is to lose weight or even to maintain weight. Come do it with us. We’ve had a lot of practice making it through the holidays, chin held high, and fearless as we enter the new year.

The coolest thing is that come Jan 1st, our members are not setting those age old resolutions that this will be the year they shed the fat suit and put their health before food. Our members are already there!
